Aloha Beautiful Soul,
We were driving through the American Southwest, stopping at sacred sites along the way, when the shaman told me we had a light ship escort.
I had no idea what that meant.
He pointed out the window and told me to look up. And there it was, what appeared to be a star, moving intentionally above and alongside our car. I was intrigued but not convinced.
He could feel my skepticism, so told me to connect with it, and then ask it for proof.
Okay…
I asked it to blink three times. It lit up brightly three times.
It could be a coincidence, I thought. An airplane… coincidental timing. So I asked for something else. Then something else. Each time it responded exactly as I had asked. And then, because I needed to be completely certain, I asked it to fly a full circle around our car.
It did.
Disbelief gave way to awe and then deepened into profound reverence. Next came a full body recognition that the things I had been seeing since childhood, that no one else in my world had been able to validate, were real and the person sitting next to me knew it.
After that night, I was always the first to see the ships when they arrived (and they showed up often). I could feel them before I could see them. My intuitive vision had been confirmed and activated to a new degree. My clairvoyance had always been strong, but the acknowledgement and permission I received from the shaman gave me confidence. His belief in me activated my self-trust. I had passed an initiation.
Nearly every ancient culture had some form of initiation.
Initiation removes the layer of doubt and creates the conditions where your gifts and abilities are expected. There is an identity shift, you become the initiate.
What three years with the shaman gave me was not just training. It was permission. His certainty about my abilities allowed me to stop questioning myself. I stepped into what he already saw in me, I became the confident, activated version of myself.
Think about what you've experienced throughout your life. The awareness you get when you walk into a room and sense what no one else seems to notice, the dreams that come with revelations and deep insights, the nudges you’ve questioned, only to discover they were right.
There have been moments when the Divine has reached out and touched you, and you felt it, or whispered your name and you heard it. Your gifts show up repeatedly... patiently waiting for you to acknowledge them.
The only thing that stands between you and your next initiation of spiritual certainty is your own hesitation to believe in yourself fully. Initiation is about remembering who you are, who you have always been.
You are Divine light incarnate. Everything you have been searching for is living within you.
