Aloha Beautiful Soul,

Today is Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead in Mexico and we just celebrated Halloween in the USA. Behind the costumes, skeletons, candles, and celebrations lies one of humanity's most profound spiritual mysteries: What happens to our consciousness when we leave the physical body?

Halloween has roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. This transition was considered a sacred time when the veil between the physical and spirit worlds grew thin, and the presence of ancestors and other spirits could be felt more easily.

In Mexico, Día de los Muertos honors those who have crossed over through washing of the gravestones and creating beautiful altars called ofrendas, decorated with marigolds, candles, photographs, and favorite foods. Rooted in Indigenous Mexican traditions, this celebration welcomes the memory and spiritual presence of departed loved ones.

Although these traditions have different histories, both reflect a deep human understanding that our relationship with the spirit world deserves reverence, attention, and sacred ritual.

It’s curious that the night revered as the one where the veil between worlds is the thinnest is celebrated in the USA with excessive sugar consumption for children and for the adults -drinking spirits. Both activities can lower our discernment and open us up to lower frequencies.

No judgement here, but for those of us exploring ascension, reincarnation, and multidimensional consciousness, these holy days offer a deeper opportunity to contemplate the eternal nature of the soul. Our ancestors understood the importance of honoring those who came before us, maintaining a relationship with the unseen world, and recognizing the sacred cycles of death and rebirth.

I invite you to take a few moments today to light a candle for someone you loved who has crossed over. Speak their name, remember their presence, and allow yourself to feel the love that continues to live within your heart.

As you honor your ancestors, consider the transformations unfolding within your own life. Every time we move beyond an old identity, belief, or attachment, we participate in our own cycle of death and rebirth, creating space for a greater expression of our divine consciousness.

May this sacred time of year deepen your connection with the eternal nature of your soul and the Divine Presence that unites all life. 💜

Honoring Your Journey,
Waxéla and the SpiritBiology Team

P.S. As the veil between worlds is honored today, take a moment to remember that love transcends physical death, and our connection to the divine is eternal.
