We spend an extraordinary amount of energy measuring ourselves against everyone else.
Their relationships, their finances, their spiritual gifts, their following, their clarity, their peace. Social media has made this constant and automatic. You scroll and without even realizing it you are running a quiet assessment of how far behind you are.

Your path is not a race with a universal finish line. It is a completely unique sequence of initiations, clearings, activations, and remembrances that belongs to no one else. The person who appears to be ahead of you on the outside is on an entirely different curriculum. You cannot be behind on a path that was designed only for you.
The spiritual path asks one thing of you consistently. Not to be further along, but to be present with where you are and to take the next step from that honest place.
Here is a practice to try right now.
Sit quietly for a few moments. Take three slow breaths. Instead of asking what you still need to fix, clear, or become, ask a different question:
What is perfect about exactly where I am right now?
What do you love about this moment, this level of awareness, this exact stage of your journey?
You may find that the wound you are still working through is developing a compassion in you that no shortcut could have created. The clarity you have not yet found is keeping you humble and curious in ways that serve your growth. The relationship that has not yet arrived is still teaching you about your own capacity for love.
Perfection on the spiritual path does not look like completion. Whatever is going on in your life contains the precise configuration of experiences, awarenesses, and openings that your soul requires right now to take its next step.
Surrender to that.
When you stop resisting where you are the path forward becomes surprisingly clear.
