When someone you love leaves their physical body, your relationship with them changes.
It does not end.
Many of our loved ones continue watching over us after they cross over. They reach through dreams, intuition, timing, and the sudden knowing that tells you to stop, wait, leave, or go a different direction.
Sometimes their protection looks like a plan that falls apart at the last moment. You miss the flight. The meeting gets canceled. The car will not start and you leave later than you intended. Then you find out that the delay kept you from a dangerous situation.
Other times they come through in dreams so vivid and so real that you wake up knowing you were just together. You remember every detail because it was not just a dream.
You can also feel them in a moment of crisis. A familiar presence wraps around you and suddenly you know exactly what to do. They can also reach through a song that comes on at the perfect moment, their name appearing somewhere unexpected, a scent that belongs to them, or a memory that interrupts your thoughts and redirects you before you make a mistake.
When one of these moments happens, stop what you are doing and acknowledge them.
Then ask quietly: what are you guiding me to notice right now? The answer may come as a thought, an image, a feeling in the body, or an inner knowing.
Love does not end with physical death, the people you loved while they are here are still with you, cheering you on and loving you from the other side.
