Aloha Beautiful Soul,

In 1933, Neville Goddard wanted to go home to Barbados for Christmas. He was unemployed in New York, had no money for the trip, and the last ship that could get him there in time was leaving on December 6th.

His teacher Abdullah gave him one instruction: Stop trying to figure out how to get there and start experiencing being there already.

So Neville walked the streets of New York while feeling the warm air of Barbados, imagining the palm-lined streets of home. At night he fell asleep in his New York apartment feeling as though he were lying in his mother's house.

On December 3rd he still had no ticket and no money with only three days left until the last ship would sail.

The next morning a letter arrived from his brother Victor in Barbados. Victor wanted the family together for Christmas and he had arranged passage for Neville on the December 6th ship and enclosed fifty dollars for the trip (the equivalent of $1000 today). When Neville went to collect his ticket, no first class space remained. He could travel third class to St. Thomas and then move to first class for the remainder of the voyage. He accepted.

On December 6th, the day the ship departed, a passenger canceled and Neville was offered first class passage from New York to Barbados, which he gratefully accepted.

The technique Neville learned was simple and specific... he imagined the end. He felt himself already home. The how arranged itself through channels he could not have predicted.

Put this into practice:

Choose one outcome you desire and find a brief scene that could play out after your desire has come true. Return to that scene in your imagination until it feels like a memory. Then live your life and respond to what appears.

The how is not your job. The feeling of the end is.
