Michael Newton’s research found that only part of a soul’s energy enters a human life.
He explored this question through thousands of Life Between Lives hypnotherapy sessions. In Destiny of Souls, he wrote that we bring only a portion of our soul’s energy into the body while the rest remains active in the spirit world.
According to Newton’s research, an average soul brings 50 to 70 percent of its energy into a human incarnation. A highly advanced soul may bring 25 percent or less.
That means a large part of your soul may not be incarnate with you.
If that’s true, what is it doing?
Newton described the part that remains in the spirit world as an active reserve of soul energy. It retains your greater soul identity, remains connected to your soul group and continues learning, planning and working with your spiritual guides.
His research also found that a soul can direct its energy into more than one incarnation at the same time. In that case, different portions of the same soul could be living separate lives, each having its own experiences.
When an incarnation ends, the energy that lived that life reunites with the part that remained in spirit. Everything learned through the incarnation becomes part of the whole.
Your soul in its totality is your Higher Self. The Higher Self is your greater consciousness, the part that remembers who you are, why you came here and what you are meant to learn and accomplish in this life.
You may experience connection with your higher self through intuition, dreams, spiritual guidance and downloads. When you meditate you can connect with your higher self and source, and advanced meditators learn to tap into this connection continuously.
